It’s a terrible feeling when your child wants you dead.

Laura takes her troubled fifteen-year-old daughter, Cindy, on a ski trip to the Adirondacks for some mother and daughter bonding time. Maybe she can get through to her.

Tyler isn’t just abusive. He’s a deranged sociopath whose ex-girlfriend has gone missing, and he has a cult-like hold on Cindy. Laura needs to keep Cindy away from him.

But Cindy and Tyler have other plans, and Tyler is already waiting for them. He’s about to show Laura how dangerous he really is.

Could Laura’s own daughter really want her dead, and how long can she survive being hunted in the frigid and snowy Adirondack mountains?

The world changed overnight…and now there is nowhere to run.

The abductions were the first sign of the invasion. Thousands of small children vanished from their beds. Meteorites hit next, choking the air with mysterious dust that had a strange effect on the dead.

They rose from their graves and hungered for the taste of flesh.
The dead were only a smokescreen for the true monsters. Creatures, not of the
Earth, began to hunt the living with one purpose…eradication.

Seventeen-year-old Zoe has to fight off the dead and hide from the aliens in hope
of finding out why they are here.

The answer could kill her.

If the dead don’t get you, the aliens will.

Where were you when the world ended?

It’s a question Zoe has wanted to ask someone… anyone… since escaping death. But, she doesn’t have time to sit around and wait for an answer. Moans from the dead remind her that death isn’t far behind. She has to keep moving, that is until nightfall when the aliens rise from tunnels below.

Why are they here? Why are they destroying Earth? Why are the dead not dead?

More questions.

Zoe’s only hope is to find Griffin Murphy, a paleontologist who may have the answers. If he survived the invasion, Murphy is hundreds of miles away. Zoe will have to fight the dead and dodge the aliens to get to the one man she’s put her faith in to save what’s left of the world she once knew.

If she dies, she goes down swinging. If she lives, maybe she will find someone to tell her where they were when the world ended.

Lt. Jane Booker hung up her shield for a more peaceful life with family. Being a private investigator doesn’t pay as well, and the benefits suck, but it beats dealing with serial killers and dead bodies.

When Jane and her partner Lou Leery take a suicide case, it seems simple. But then the case brings them to upstate NY and converges with the case of a thrill-seeking P.I named Leah Ryan. Jack has dealt with Leah before, and as she expects, things go a little haywire.

As Leah and Jane work to untangle two linked cold cases of teenage girls who vanished in the mid-eighties, they come up against a serial killer who knows something and wants to play cat and mouse behind prison walls.

And he has fans willing to do anything for him. A lot of fans.

Leah Ryan used to steal cars for a living. A former repo chick, she’d hung up her lock picks for a new career as a private eye. But when her old boss calls up with an offer to repossess a Rolls Royce, the thrill-seeker in Leah can’t refuse.

Leah’s trip to Chicago turns out to be more than just a simple boost. As the dead bodies start piling up, she runs afoul with a homicide cop named Lt. Jack Daniels, and her uncouth ex-partner, Harry McGlade.

JACKED UP! teams up Tracy Ryan’s unorthodox heroine (REPO CHICK BLUES, FINDING CHLOE, DIRTY BUSINESS) with J.A. Konrath’s stalwart cop (WHISKEY SOUR, SHAKEN, STIRRED) in an action-packed, hilarious mystery-thriller.

This short novel is 20,000 words long, and is a great introduction to the worlds of Leah Ryan and Jack Daniels, while also being a treat for longtime fans of both series.

Private Investigator Leah Ryan is on a much needed vacation. A week in Bass Bay, Maine. Nothing but sun, sand and relaxation. No missing people. No murder. No stress.

But an hour into her vacation, Leah almost swims into a dead girl. Shark bites on the victim indicate a horrific shark attack, but closer inspection of the remains suggest that sharks aren’t the only predators in Bass Bay.

As the bodies of more young women wash up on the beach, Leah is about to find out that murder doesn’t take a vacation.

Red Surf is the 4rth in the Leah Ryan thriller series, and mixes humor with nail biting suspense.

Pregnant women are disappearing in the capital region. The mother one of the missing women hires private investigator Leah Ryan and partner Jackson Quick to find her daughter.

A simple missing persons case turns into a nightmare as the list of suspects grows. Alexia’s unfaithful husband, a cult leader who impregnates his female followers whose babies suddenly vanish, and a shady network of adoption agencies involved in a black market baby scheme.

Taking this case leads Jackson and Leah into a labyrinth of mystery and murder.

This is the third book in the Leah Ryan series. Leah also appears in the short novel Jacked Up, which also features Lieutenant Jack Daniels, written in collaboration with J.A Konrath.

An exotic dancer vanishes from the underbelly of the city. Repo agent and reformed car thief Leah Ryan has a knack for rescue, and she’s a sucker for a lost cause.

Unable to turn away from helping find a stripper whose disappearance many are indifferent to, Leah soon discovers that there are those who would keep Chloe Nolan from being found, and that there is far more to her disappearance than meets the eye.

This is the second book in the Leah Ryan series. Leah also appears in the short story Jacked Up, which also features Lieutenant Jack Daniels, written in collaboration with J.A Konrath.

Reformed car thief Leah Ryan is trouble. She is turning over a new leaf, but needs a job fast. She’s a natural at stealing cars. What better job for her than Repo Chick?

When Leah stumbles onto a sex ring during a routine repo job, her distrust of law enforcement and all things authority leads her to enlist the help of a few friends from her shady past.

A past she promised herself she’d never return to.

This is the second book in the Leah Ryan Series. Leah also appears in the short story Jacked Up, which also features Lieutenant Jack Daniels, written with in collaboration with J.A Konrath.

Welcome to my Blog

Welcome to my shiny new blog! I’m so excited to mention that my latest release, Double Shot, is now available for Kindle from Kindle Worlds. I had a lot of fun writing this book. Now on to a new genre. I’ll tell you more as the new book progresses. I’m superstitious about talking about works in progress, so I like to wait a bit until the project is really cooking.

In the meantime, here is an interview I did with fabulous author Stephen Campbell about Kindle Worlds:
